We were approached by some existing clients of whom we carried out a side extension and installed a new kitchen a few years back. Now it was the family bathroom and the master en-suites turn for a make-over.
Ripping out a bathroom that was around 15 years old was somewhat a rewarding task not only for us but for our clients too.
Unfortunately hidden nasties were lurking beneath the floors and behind stud walls. Rotting floor boards and unearthed electrics were just a few of the obstacles the team encountered.
Liaising with the clients and ensuring them that we would fix the issues was reassuring,
a task that was immediately undertaken to allow us to complete the bathroom re-fit to the standards we abide by.
Unforeseen circumstances such as these happen on a number of builds and it is always recommended that a contingency pot is in place to cover the additional costs.
